Subject: RE: Bigfoot Triathlon I did. The bike portion was fine and I had no issues. I didn't hear of anyone crashing, just people getting flat tires.
The run was hot and muddy. Since I've done this race before and knew it was going to rain I wore my old running shoes. I stepped in a few huge puddles but otherwise it wasn't as bad as I thought. There were a lot of dry spots.
I too was bummed that the swim was canceled but this was just a training race for me in preparation to my HIM in 3 weeks and my IM in September. I did notice that a lot of people dropped out.
Did end up with my fastest bike split and overall finished faster on the bike and run than last year. |
