Walked around and cheered on other racers. Grabbed some fruit and a chips ahoy cookie. Drank plenty of water

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of consistent training

Event comments:

This race is probably the most fun race I have done. Costumes are encouraged (there are even prizes for best and most original costume) Many folks doing their first tri at this event. A good amount of volunteers and well organized.

Course: Out and back along the park road and then onto hwy 104. Not much vehicle traffic. CHP monitored for safety. Roads in the park were fairly smooth. Several speed bumps to cross. Areas with many small round pavement markers near pedestrian areas in the park also. Mostly flat in the park then a couple of downhills. Once onto hwy 104 there are some low rolling hills but no big climbs. Turnaround is very tight in the middle of the roadway, but well manned by volunteers warning riders in advance. Then back to the park to climp those couple of hills and then flat to transition

Do we really need chia, spelt, and quinoa? Is anything wrong with old-fashioned peanut butter, broccoli and brown rice?

Cotswold super sprint - UK. Lots of bodies colliding, I swam half over someone, got kicked by some bloody breaststroker, and as a mob we poured towards the first buoy.

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.

Since I didn't have much time and since it's a super sprint, am I OK just go to at the training relatively hard through Thursday or even Friday?
