I'm looking at trying something new for staff wellness at my work place. I'm the defacto person for such things. We have done biggest loser contests in the past but that doesn't reach everyone and really isn't a good model for staff wellness. Most people that lose the weight gain it right back. I want to create a challenge that will motivate more people to participate. Maybe a team competition. Cubes 1-4 vs cubes 5-8 type deal.

There are 4 things that I want to track:

Nutrition
Sleep
Exercise
Weight

Since most of these are self reporting there is little to prevent people from lying on each piece. They could easily say 1 mile instead of .5 mile or 5 miles instead of 4 miles. Same with sleep and nutrition.

My idea is that they would have 24hours to log their previous day's information. Then get points based off logging the information.

I feel that they might lie some but for the most part they will recall things more accurately if they have to do it everyday.

I'm not necessarily concerned if they run 2 miles or 4 miles but what I want to be able to do it go back and show them over the last month how they have done.

Basically, trying to create healthy habits they can keep up.

Has anyone seen anything like this? I can find it for an individual but not for a group. (cannot buy fitbits for the entire place)

Can't you log nutrition, weight, and exercise into the myfitnesspal app? I don't know how you would use that for points, but I think you can create a group in it or add friends.

When do you want to start this? I run a free coding group of several hundred learners and this is a perfect "easy" project to work on

When I swim I struggle to get a full breath and consequently run down faster. I spend part of my training on the side of the pool gasping for air.
