Comments:

felt good. had been sick the week prior and had decided to just lightly jog the first half (mildly downhill) and then jog/walk the 2nd half (mildly uphill) but I actually felt fine the whole way.

weather was great, had been raining hard over night and drizzling in morning but was mostly dry during entire run except some very minor misting which actually felt great.
What would you do differently?:

nothing. This was a PR for me, coming off of an illness!

Event comments:

Because this is a local race organized by my friends I want to give it a 5 star ranking, but if I'm being brutally honest; it's just a pretty average race that is well run. But the profits all go to benefit the local high school cross country team, so that part is GREAT! and your medal doubles as a belt buckle.

I signed up for Ironman Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise.

My training was taking off. I had never felt stronger. I was making bigger strides than I ever had. I was stronger and faster than I had imagined myself ever being.
