![]() Transition 1
Comments: T1 was okay for my first time - not sure whether I would opt to wear socks again or not. Transitions were set up such that the bike entry/exit was shared with the run entry/exit. All this equals a disaster waiting to happen....more on that in my bike comments! ![]() Bike
Comments: To top it all off, I had a wreck passing the transition area - bike was good enough to continue, but after careful inspection I have a bent rim :-( . Wreck was caused by a rider entering transition from the left side of the lane turning right...I suppose I was partly at fault for attempting to pass on the right, but didn't have much of a choice at the time. Course design could have prevented this. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: Didn't capture a T2 time unfortunately... I have put in 1 minute as a guess...was fast since I didn't need to do much. Nothing notable to improve on. What would you do differently?: Remember my hat! ![]() Run
Comments: Foot was still very sore - heading to the doc. this week for evaluation. First loop was a struggle, but the second was better and I managed to pick up the pace. With a healed foot, I think I could push harder. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walked around, drank a water, and waited for Regina to come in. Had a banana and another breakfast bar. What limited your ability to perform faster: Bike Wreck, Injured Foot. Otherwise, a nice icebreaker for me into the sport of Tri! Last updated: 2006-07-18 12:00 AM
