Subject: MiamiMan vs IM 70.3 Miami
Hi all - I know there have been threads on this topic before, but the ones I've found are pretty old so I'm hoping for some newer insight based on how these races have been going more recently.

Which would you choose and why? It'll be my second 70.3. Thanks!

To start I have never raced the IM 70.3 Miami but I have watched it a few times, once by land and once by boat.
Here are some know issues with the Miami 70.3, (1) The current can mess up your swim big time, (2) expect to see lots of drafting on the bike course, (3) boring run.

I did Miami Man last year and it was excellent. It is now the USAT long Course championship so competition is tough. The Swim has crystal clear waters, very little drafting on the bike course and the run course has sections inside Miami Zoo. Multi Race does an excellent job on their races.

Doing Miami Man again this year.

Thanks for the input Ed! I've done one multirace event before (TriKW) and was mostly impressed. I'm surprised that the Miami 70.3 is a boring run though? Looks like it would be beautiful but maybe I'm missing something? Thanks again!
