I have a 2013 cervelo P2 with the profile design T2 wing. I’ve been eyeballing newer aerobars such as the profile design SVET and pro missle hydroformed alloy. I’m guessing the benefits are minimal but could be wrong. I’ve also came across a zipp carbon cockpit that would be more aerodynamic and lighter (I know weight doesn’t matter all that much on tri bikes but hey, anything to justify new gear).

I need to replace all my cables anyway so I’m looking at spending around $200 total for the upgrade.

Worth it or nah?

Probably not where you will get the most aero bang for the buck except if they can get you in a more aero position.

Depends on your goal for the upgrade.

Are you looking for weight savings?
Looking for aero savings?
Do you need a better bike fit and different setup to get there?

My 2 cents, if it isn't broke, don't fix it.
If you are comfortable in your current setup, spend that money on a better bike trainer or another training aid to add speed.

Gaining speed from training is much more effective than trying to buy it from the cockpit setup.

If you have the cash and just want something cooler looking, by all means.

Or, save the money for N+1 bike.
