Champion 10157 Alabama | Subject: Cory Booker for President https://www.yahoo.com/news/cory-booker-will-take-time-coming-months-... Looks like democrats are headless. I read again today that Hillary will likely run again in 2020. Creepy porn lawyer Avenatti wants to run but I saw a poll and he got 0% support. Then there are those who want Oprah to run. Maybe O-C will run. My prediction is the next dem ticket for POTUS will include a woman and/or a black man. I predict the dems will take the WH and both houses of congress in 2020.* * My political prognostications are always 100% wrong! |

I'm looking for them to fire up the Beto machine on a nationwide scale. He's the perfect candidate. He looks enough like a Kennedy to tie in the JFk angle; I've actually already heard this ad nauseam in the Texas Senate race. He can parrot the party line and dodge the hard questions, just like you know who… did I mention he's pretty? I think he's their guy. Notice any negative Clinton stuff mentioned on TV recently? The media machine is putting out a bit of a negative spin/vibe against Hillary and/or Bill this last week or so. I think it's an effort to undermine her attempt to run again. Watch for Beto. They're really effchucking up if they don't run him or at the very least put him in a Veep slot. |

He talks a great game, with little results to back it up. Zuckerberg gave him $100M to help Newark schools and they are still as bad as they ever were. People flock to him for some reason. Second, he is a black man running for national office. the media loves a person like this and heaps praise on him and will never criticise him. Also, Dems are guaranteed 90%+ of the black vote. Obama averaged 92% in his two elections +8% over a white candidate. In today's tight environment, +8% wins every race. Booker will be the 2020 nominee. |

Pro 6838 Tejas | Subject: RE: Cory Booker for President Beto brings the Hispanic vote. They fire up the Hispanic vote nationwide, they cant be beat. A black man doesn't inspire the Hispanic voter on the scale they need to topple the Donald. The black voter will vote for whomever the DNC puts up there. Hillary and the DNC screwed the pooch by not using Julian Castro as veep choice. He alone would have put her way over the top IMO. They probably could have taken Texas with him. Beto has proven he can almost take Texas, I think they ran him to see how well he could do, not that they expected him to beat Cruz. They pumped a crapton of $$$ into his coffers to test the experiment. I don't see them stopping there. |

Both are media darlings who never get criticized and always painted in a favorable light. And both have a very thin resume of accomplishments in Congress. I actually heard someone compare O'Rourke to JFK! |

Pro 6838 Tejas | Subject: RE: Cory Booker for President So Cory has a plan to fund accounts that 'should' grow to 46k to be available when the person turns 18. Let's ignore the "who's going to pay for it" or "who will manage it" arguments and look at what happens when the child turns 18. When I turned 18, 46K would have really helped me out, a lot. Knowing what I know now, I would roll it into investments for the future and used the rest for school. However, knowing how I was then, I probably would have been driving a brand new Z-28 to the bars every night. That's a lot of money to dump on someone who has never had money and likely no access anyone who can provide them with guidance on how to turn it into an asset for their future. I like the plan and would like to see it implemented with a few changes. 1. Once you turn 18, the money becomes your social security account. Pay back the original amount with a payroll deduction just like FICA. Only YOU get to manage your account. 2. Once delivered into your possession for management, welfare stops. 3. You'll be provided with a valid ID linked to your account so you no longer have an excuse NOT to have identification to vote. You'll also be required to register to vote. 4. I'm dreaming here, there will be no special provisions attached to the plan. This will do nothing more than put a bunch of expensive uninsured vehicles on the road, being driven by a bunch of kids that have no concept of the value of what they've been given. I certainly would not have been capable of managing that much money at 18. |

Hopefully either him or Harris will bring up the subject of cultural appropriation when battling it out with that plucky Irish kid from west Texas that's using a Latino nickname to garner the Hispanic vote.
