Comments:

It was a weird course. The super sprint which started first was a square of green buoys. THe long course added a triangle of orange cones to go past after passing the greens. I started great, made it past the first green, the first, orange, and turned to see the point of the triangle buoy in the distance. I was making a be line towards it, and about 3/4 of the way there I realized that the other orange buoy had become unmoored and was floating in the middle of the lake, nad I was swimming towards it and not the actual buoy I was supposed to be going around. i rerouted and felt pretty strong the whole way, but it probably cost me a minute or so of extra distance. Overall, I felt good, swam straight, and felt OK at teh end. And still had a good finish in the AG and overall.

Comments:

The ride went well I was thinking that it was a 15 mile ride, but after the first lap, I realized there was another mile. no big deal. On the second lap, I rode up on a crash, a teenager who was all blood yand dzed. I stopped, helped him off the road, get his bike into the grass. 1 other guy stopped. 5 others rode by. I stayed with him for only a minute or so to make sure he was OK then got back going.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Transition 2

Comments:

Had a hard time getting shoes on. Probably took an extra 5-10 sec, so not terrible, but not real smooth either
What would you do differently?:

Run
  • 29m 36s
  • 4 miles
  • 07m 24s  min/mile
Comments:

Run was average. Miles 2-3 felt the best. By the last, the humidity was killing me and I couldn't move. Was averaging about 7:22 for the first 3 and slowed a lot on the last mile. This was a much easier course thna Mach Tenn, but I was a full minute slower on this one. I did feel that I pushed alittle harder on the bike, but this run had no hills, so I was a bit disapoointed to have been that much slower
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Post race
Warm down:

waslked around and ate a great breakfast burrito

What limited your ability to perform faster:

nothing

Event comments:

Good smaller race. Super Sprint and Sprint races togehter. Neat concept to separate the mens and womesn races. Everything went well. weather was better than expected, being overcast, there was just no air movement on the greenline trails. Post-race spread was good. Well organized. I'll do it again.
