Pre-race routine:

Woke up about 4:00 am and loaded up the truck. Then drove up to Mt Shasta. 1 hour 20 min drive
Event warmup:

short job before putting on the wetsuit. Maybe 100 yards. Put wetsuit on and swam 50 yards or so over to the start line

A bit dangerous for swimmers because you are swimming right at oncoming waves as swimmers spread out.
