“Vindman Was ‘Deeply Troubled’ By Trump’s Effort To ‘Subvert’ US Foreign Policy. Brit Hume Points Out His ‘Huge Fallacy’”

What Brit pointed out was it is the POTUS that sets US Foreign Policy not unelected bureaucrats. Vindman’s thinking is pure deep state thinking. IOWs, “How dare the President of the United States “subvert” the Deep State!”

I understand some of the thinking behind deep state. I was commissioned officer in my Army NG unit. There were full time enlisted guardsmen who ran things who would often “overrule” or ignore me because they knew in a couple of years I’d be gone.

Vindman and Sondland serve at the pleasure of the President - evidently the President is not pleased with them.

I also think it is clear Vindman was the source who leaked to the whistleblower. My guess is reassignment is the least of his worries. Senate is going to investigate the whistleblower who will likely drop dime on Vindman to cover his own arse.

These are interesting "issues" to focus on. Trying not to sound sarcastic etc, but how does any of this justifiably detract from the POTUS' attempt to influence a foreign gov't to meddle in U.S. elections? I understand how we go here but how long can we tolerate this? (Rhetorical.)

Meh, politics.....this stuff has been going on forever. The President asked for an investigation into corruption by Joe Biden.....and therefore the O'bama administration....seems ok to me. Nobody proved the aid was withheld until there was an investigation. But they tried like hell. LOL

So you're advocating that candidates with dirty hands are off limits?

Trump asked Ukraine to investigate what happened around the investigation of Biden's son being shut down.  He didn't ask for a specific outcome nor did he ask for favorable timing of any release of information so how is he asking for Ukraine to "meddle" in our election?

Were Biden not running for President, anything coming out of a Ukraine investigation would be newsworthy, but only 1 column-inch on page 9 newsworthy.  For as long as he's still running, it's elevated to page 1 newsworthy (ok...page 3 for the NYTimes & Washington Post...)  This is true even if the "news" weren't coming out of Ukraine but rather is domestically sourced speculation.

I suspect there will be a lot more dirty hands exposed during a second Trump term.
