![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Meh... 5 miles on the treadmill in Macon, GA. On a friends advice I am doing a two week taper for the upcoming JFK 50 miler. Like the rest of the world, I don't like to taper. I would like to thank George Orwell for being my audio partner during the morning run. Went oldschool and listening to Animal Farm. It's interesting. Everyone brace for the cold, and enjoy whatever today might be bringing you. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() 6:15 AM - 4-1/2 mile run. Yes, this was outside in the 19 deg F. Today was a beautiful morning. Yesterday's forecast was for 56 deg F first thing in the morning and for precipitation starting at 8:00 Am and going to about 10 PM at night with the temperature dropping to below freezing by 3 PM and continuing to fall after through the night. So I was expecting everything to be soaking wet then to freeze and to get slushy snow on top of it, etc. At 3PM I look outside and everything was pretty dry. The road all the home after dark was fine. This morning I got up and didn't feel like doing back-to-back bike days so I pulled out the cold weather run gear and had the most wonderful time running outdoors as the sun was rising. I knew it was going to be a good day. We have some more freezing weather this week in the forecast but no more precipitation in the forecast and no more 40 MPH wind in the forecast. Be safe BT!
