Subject: Bike Trainer
I'm planning on upgrading to the Wahoo Kickr in the fall. Are trainers like iphones were there is a new version every year? I'm just wondering if I should get one whenever I can find a decent price, or wait until the next version comes out. I noticed Zwift is clearing out their inventory, so I thought maybe. But I am so new to trainers that I just don't know.

There might be firmware updates, etc., but physical versions of the trainers themselves aren't that often.  DCRainmaker does a whole bunch of research and has documented everything related to smart trainers for close to 15 years now.  Here is his latest trainer recommendation...it's a little over a year old but still accurate:

ETA:  he also is an industry insider so if there are major revisions or new products coming out he usually knows and shares months (if not a year plus) in advance.
