Pre-race routine:

Just a small bowl of oatmeal at home - no Powerboat or GU

Event warmup:

Jogged a bit before. Was ready to go 5 mins before start, but then realized it started at 8:45 and not 8:30, so got a bit cold standing around before start.

Comments:

Started easier! That opening 2:55 felt like 2:50 though, so I was worried. But happy at 1.5 miles with that 2:47 while feeling OK half way through a 5K! Could have suffered more from 1.5-2.5, but was happy with this sub-18.
