Comments: Started out hot and just held on. Knew for sub-17 I needed 5:26/mi, but just couldn't quite get there. Was hard enough holding this pace with no one around me. Tried to pretend I was racing the lead bike, but didn't quite work to get that extra motivation. Still a huge PR, and best part is I got the break the tape! What would you do differently?: Nothing  Post race
Warm down: 1.5 mile jog. Also hit the MTB trails before heading home after awards. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: Fun little local race. Just water and a granola bar at the finish, but I wasn't expecting much. Last updated: 2023-05-18 12:00 AM
