Subject: Trainer vs. Outdoor Rides: Adjusting Sprint Triathlon Training PlansHi everyone!
I’m new to this group. I started training for my first sprint triathlon about 4 months ago and a month ago I began a new, more challenging training plan.
In this plan, I have bike workouts lasting 1.5 to 2 hours, which I’ve been doing on the trainer due to the weather. I’m wondering if I should consider reducing the duration since the trainer sessions feel more intense, or if I should stick to the plan as is.
Do these training plans take into account whether you’re riding indoors on a trainer versus outside?
Also, I’ve found that wearing riding gloves makes a big difference for comfort and grip during these longer indoor sessions.
I’d really appreciate your advice and insights! |
