Hi everyone, what a wonderful site!

I'm living in South Korea and planning to race in some triathlons here including the Korean Ironman next year with three other 'Waygogin' (foreign) friends. We're really lucky to have each other to train and race with here, one South African friend of mine got us all interested late this year. One problem we have is the lack of a vehicle, so we are going to be putting our much loved new bikes at the mercy of the bus drivers (in the under carriage compartments), a very scary thought if you have ever been on a bus in Korea
So, I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a great bike carrying case, where we won't have to totally take apart our bikes. Also one that can be used on an airplane...with a view to qualifying for Hawaii! Haha.

Great site....

There are quite a few bike cases on the market, all of them expensive. But, they are certainly worth the investment if you are going to travel extensively with your bike. Canvass the local bike shops to see what is being offered. I would suggest that you also check at the airport; the local air line office will certainly have handled such items as bikes and cellos for travelling atletes and musicians. If nothing is available locally you might have to look on the net at vaious offerings. Here are a few sites; there are many many more but I thought that these would give you an idea:

Thanks for your help Machiavelo,

Haven't been able to find anything locally, but the sites you sent are pretty good, I think I will order over the Internet or on ebay if they can accept a Korean Mastercard.

Cheers once again
