Does diuretics (hydrochlorothiazide) , bp medicine -norvasc and metropolol affect performance. Ive been taking them Just to give my background I'm a kidney transplant recipient and been doing triathlons since 2003. finished my first iron distance this year and and training for imaz in 2007. How does it affect you with regardless to training. 2.what is an ace that sebastian was talking about could i convince my doctor to transfer to this medication if these (my mediactions affect my performance? |

Champion 8936    | Subject: re: hypertension-so as not to hijack sebastian thread Given your history of a kidney transplant, I'd go with the meds your doc puts you on. The metoprolol could definitely affect your performance, but not keeping your kidneys healthy would be far worse for you. The ACE we were speaking of is a class of drugs called angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors. They actually work primarily through your kidneys. In your case, I'd talk to a nephrologist before messing around with anything like that. |
