WTB: old roadbike for fixed gear conversion, Seattle area

Anybody have a Schwinn, Univega, Raleigh, Fuji, etc. 10-speed gathering dust in the basement? I'm searching for a 55-56cm (22in) bike to build into a fixed gear for training and racing.
I don't have a lot of money to spend, so the cheaper or free-er the better, and I'm not too picky about condition as long as the frame, forks and wheels are straight.
I'd love to hear from anybody riding a fixie too.
