Comments: This was not a timed event. I learned a whole ton on this thing. How to ride in a pace line and the etiquette associated with it. What drafting is, does and means. How to rest while climbing hills. What would you do differently?: Go harder! Post race
Warm down: Sent Marie into shock by accepting a massage. (I don't like to be touched by people I don't know) What limited your ability to perform faster: Experience. In hindsight, I could have pushed harder. Headwinds were a real issue also. Take my bike to fifteen different brikeshops to make sure it's in good shape. Also to dodge any Friday afternoon work responsibilities. Also to covet the various tri bikes. Felt...Orbea...DEAD sexy. I'm in.
I also made it a point to carbo load and start hydrating (I run a little dry) two days before instead of one. This proved to be the right way for me.
nah. Starbucks.
Started at the back of the pack.
