A terrible swim, like last time--the drills are coming along but haven't yet paid off in whole-stroke swimming. Comfortable in the water, but stroke and navigation difficulties persist. I can tell that this is going to get much better but it will take the winter to work on.

Same time as last race. Inconsistent splits (8.48, 10.14. 9.20).
But much, much more comfortable. With some technique, could gain some time here.

Event comments:

My second tri, on the same course as the first one three weeks ago. Picked up five minutes, all on the bike. In contrast to last time, felt strong after the event. Need to have patience that swim skills will come--only 7 weeks in the water, after all.

Good work. I was there too. It was a good race.

Now, If I could have just been fast enough to get one of those awards. Engraved Beer Mugs - that has to be the best reward I've seen. And they say they may not have it next year. Bummer.
