Comments: Started out with a fast pace and had to slow down a bit because of the high HR. Watched Klynne get out past me and I couldn't keep up! I was hoping to be able to catch up with her on the last 1/4 mile but didn't have it in me. I felt that I did pretty good but I was really hoping that I could do this race closer to 30 min. Still pleased with my time because I set a goal of under 34. So YEAH for me!!! What would you do differently?: I'm not to sure what I could have done differenly for this race. I mainly did this race for training and the keep a goal in front of me. Post race
Warm down: Got a banana, 1/2 begal and some gatorade. Did a few stretches with a yoga studio. We stuck around for the nice door prizes but weren't that lucky. What limited your ability to perform faster: MY STUPID HR!!!! Event comments: One volunteer was especially great!! My daughter stood at the 3 mile point giving out times. But all the people at this race were good. Last updated: 2006-10-25 12:00 AM

Klynne spent the night prior to the race so she didn't have to drive far. We got up at 6 and had peanutbutter bread and coffee for breakfast.Got to the race early, as usual, and got race packet and shirt. Had to get Ash there early as she was volunteering for the KEY club. Was pretty cold and decided to wait in the warm car!!
Did a nice walk and some stretching. Watched the kids do the 1/2 mile fun run.
