Pre-race routine:

stopped to get a cup of Gas Station Coffee - yummmm
Then drove about 50 minutes to teh event. Ate a Harvest bar and a banana for breakfast.

very good conditions, unfortunaly, my swim condition was not the greatest. I was very disappointed with this time.shold have easily been under 10 minues

I thought this was a very tough course.lots of hills!!!! There were a few hills that I really struggled with, some people were walking their bikes up the hill. I almost ran out of gears myself.
What would you do differently?:

because of my local terain, I don't think I can train for this type of race on a regular basis. But I do as many hills as I can

tough run, I pushed a fair amount on the bike and then to have to run a hilly course , it SUCKED! as did my time. I would expect to be at least 5 minutes faster

Not much I could do. I was pretty spent on the run. I need to train mor ehils, I don't have taht convenience at home though

Warm down:

ate some post race grinds. pretty crappy selection.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hilly course. I guess I 've been slacking a bit as well. should have done better

Event comments:

Not a bad race. a challance for sure. I almost signed up for the Oly. thank god i didn't do that, this was a tough sprint. I'll get'em next year...........

Course: Very hilly course, seemed mostly up hill. This was by far the toughest bike course I've raced thus far. The course was a point to point through Rural roads from the Lake to the University

Vert disappointed here!!! In my defense this was also a very hilly run. I don't trin in that type of terain alot
