Pre-race routine:

Got up way earlier than needed and drank too much coffee. Met up with fellow B.T.'ers Sparco and Freckleface and thoroughly enjoyed talking to them. They were doing the half so they had to leave before me. Walked around inside awhile and met some other people I knew. No real set routine.
Event warmup:

Pressed my face and hands against the window and stared at the people outside doing everything they could to stay warm.

Comments:

Run went very well. Took it a little slow at first to make sure injury is healed. Could of pushed harder but was very happy with results of run.
What would you do differently?:

Not where a sweatshirt hoodie under my running jacket.
Post race
Warm down:

Wanted to stick around and wait for some half marathoners to come in but just couldn't hack it. Went back out to cheer people on after getting something to eat and wet clothes froze almost instantly.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Being over-weight

Event comments:

Very impressed with starting times of race. There were a lot of people there and I think they started both races within minutes of scheduled starting time.

Hey, nice race! Sounds like the calf is doing well. Those wet clothes were a *****, huh? Thank god I had dry things in my car, I stripped everything off on the way to the diner. I can't imagine what the people driving around me thought.

Haha, again, good race and great to meet you!

Great run.  Take care of your calf.

I wonder what those people outside thought of that person inside pressing their face against the window.

I'm glad your injury seems to be subsiding.

Good race -- way to be one of "The Few, The Proud, The Frozen" (do you like the mug?)
