Subject: HR Zones = RPE? My gym has a chart on the wall that shows intensity levels from 1 - 10. Rate of Perceived Exertion Scale | 0 | Nothing at all | 0.5 | Very, very weak | 1 | Very weak | 2 | Weak | 3 | Moderate | 4 | Somewhat Strong | 5 | Strong | 6 | | 7 | Very strong | 8 | | 9 | | 10 | Very, very strong | * | Maximal |
How does this translate to HR Zones? Am I correct in assuming that RPE 7-8 is roughly equivalent to HR Zone 5, or very near or above my LT? |
