first time race. didn't work out the way he would have liked, but i could not have done a better job, so i give him credit. I am sure he will learn from any mistakes and make this a better event next year...good job!

i didn't know anyone from here was going! i was there, just taking pictures and watching a few people. my husband was working the race (bike support/the SBR multisport wetsuit raffle).

i have some pictures, i wonder if i caught him in any.

and the course was tough - the surf was quite strong (everyone's swim times were slow), the bike was technical/not a good course, and i'm not a fan of the beach run myself.

Subject: Skipped out!
I was registered, went, set up, took a look at the water and said no thanks!

When I signed up for this I was hoping to get a typical August morning ocean at the shore - I had always wanted to swim in an ocean like that - calm warm, the a.m. sunshine on the water and that just wasn't the case on Saturday!

Plus I do these things purely for the enjoyment and that just wouldn't have been enjoyable! At all!

So I went back and made it home in time for my three little boys waking up! Went for a nice long bike ride!
