Pre-race routine:

Was on call and had a puppy to check in hospital so got up extra early to do it, the freeway was closed even at 5am! So took the back streets and it took me 20 mins longer than normal to get to work. Pup was OK so then raced home, gulped down some UP & Go and we were off, caught the free train from Greenwood to Belmont Park.

Wasn't really racing, still getting over my cold so just wanted to finish it. Wasn't timed, just a cruisey ride. Was fun.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Still got the tail end of this bloody virus. Plus haven't really done a lot of exercise this month so fitness has dropped.
