I had a great time at Rainstar. I noticed online registration is closed for CB&I, I emailed the Race Director, hopefully I can get in. I shouldn't procrastinate so much, I would hate to miss a race so close to home.

I'm down with it - after the Lonestar Quarter it'll be a good motivator to keep me in line for Cap Tex!

The wife and I will be there.  Last years rain out was a big bummer, because this race is really fun.   CB&I is probably one of the best organized races I've ever seen...plus the awards and giveaways at the end are awesome!

Luckily, I got in after they opened up the 40 additional spots to CB&I. This will be #2 for me after doing Rainstar last weekend! Boy, was I glad I opted out of the First-Timers wave and started with my age-group. If I hadn't, I would probably have been running during that down-pour like my sister was. I still got drenched waiting to see my sister finish....I have enormous respect for all those that were still out there during rain!

We will be there. Kylie is racing and I will be performing jockstrapping duty. This is her second time to race this one and it is a really great race! Looking forward to seeing the BT'ers!

I'm excited! I'll be racing against my whole masters swim team...and my coach

Should we designate a BT meeting area? I hate going to races and knowing there are people that I'd like to meet but don't.

Thats a great idea! Especially for me since I am not racing and can yell for everyone! What is a good spot to meet?

Luke, you pick the spot as you guys have done this race... i kept some of the BT tatoos to sport for this race...

Hopefully my sunburn goes away so i can cram in some last minute tapering workouts!

Just got the email from the RD...water temp 76 degrees!  I'm excited, because I was expecting it to be in the low 70's.

Good luck to everyone, and see ya bright and early Saturday morning!

Well kids it is almost that time! We have done it once but I don't remember a ton about it. I remember it was really early in the morning and I walked through the grass from the parking lot along the lake over to transition. After that I remember standing up on a bridge watching the runners finish. This was before my racing days and it was early in the AM and it's all a blur!

Lets meet outside of transition. I will have on a brown Cinco Ranch Tri shirt and probably either a Lonestar tri hat or a grey Pearl Izumi visor. I think Kylie's # is 195 (I could be wrong about that) but she has a purple Javelin and I don't know what she is racing in - maybe the orange team Jav uniform.

I was planning on doing the same thing...bring it just in case I'm the only one not wearing one. At 76, it seems almost like it's not worth it. That said, I had always heard that if it's legal and you own one, you should wear it.

This will be my 2nd Tri after Lonestar...and I don't feel like I'm as ready. I started to try a harder workout schedule a few weeks ago after Lonestart, and I think I am still recovering from over-doing it. I'm just hoping to hold my own on this time out.

i am in 100% the same boat as you... lonestar was my first, and after that i was super training then i had some fmily vacation for a week that knocked me back.. beer and food and fun tend to get the best of me... so 7 lbs later i am thinking i may be hurting a bit tommorrow...

at the end of the day i know it will be fun and i had a blast at lonestar... plus the beer taste so good once yo have done a little bit of a workout.

look forward to meeting you guys tommorrow!
