Simple. Things like free speak, phone tapping, and other government controls would not be possible with communism around because america was the land of the free and yet if we did the same as what they did to there people how could we say we were better.

(Psst- communism, while great on paper, doesn't work. A couple of things like human nature and basic economic principles get in the way.)

Interesting thing about both the Duke men and the Rutgers women and the suffering all have gone through (and btw, suffering is not a contest...)  ALL the crap both have gone through with accusations, assumptions etc, are due to stereotyping.

I have been out of town for a few days, I notice the White Leaders thread is gone (shocker) and I noticed a post Marma started about referring to a group of people as "they." 

we are apparently as ignorant, thoughtless, careless with our words, and full of the same kind of racial and cultural stereotyping as Imus and those who hung up the Duke men.
