There will be a strong Donkai contingent including myself.  First time doing it though.  Dead fish sound like a great pick me up if I get hungry on the swim!

Way looking forward to it. Did the sprint as my first tri last year and am doing the HIM this year as prep for Moo. I'll be camping with the kids from Tuesday- Monday and am willing to host a BT party at my campsite.

One bad hill out of T1 and T2, but other than that it;s not too bad. Quite a few BT'ers will be there.

Im in for the HIM.  Last year we did an OWS swim there in mid-June and the water was covered in a layer of dead mayflies.  You made sure to not suck water that day!  Gross.....

I think someone witnessing my swimming may have mistaken it for a dead fish.
Except for the big hill right out of transition, nothing too major.

Wow! Lots of Donkeys will be out in force! YEEEHAW or should I say HEEEEHAW!

I'm up for a pre-race ride or swim. I haven't ridden the course but have ridden around there. Traffic gotten busier over there since I used to ride to and fro High Cliff (before all the houses went up) Some hills.. Faro Springs Road?! I think that is what has a HUMONGOUS hill (Clean air bike ride in May) had us ride it as well as training for TNT century...killer hill man!

Are those menacing muscles in the lake? (some were in Oshkosh / Lk Winneconne last year and I sliced my toe pretty good)

Yup, they are.  Or atleast they were last year.  I sliced my foot on one pretty good too.  The lakes not that deep, so when you touch down, touch easy first and make sure you got sand and not a clump mussels down there.

Hey are swim shoe (those sneaker things) legal????

I'm thinking NOT because if they were... folks would probably wear the absolute largest size they could and use them as flippers.

Actually, I think they are legal.  I kinda remember reading that somewhere.  They are just a really thin layer of neoprene so they dont really add much propulsion, iirc.  I could be wrong though....

Sweet!  Lots of action at high cliff!  Great route, my first sprint last year, I'll either be doing the sprint again this year (boo hoo) or volunteering....Party at a campsite would be awesome!  We have a group site for Redline.  I didn't recall any deadfish, or zebra muscles, must have been too focused on not getting swam over!
