So I get an email from the race director, Andrew, last night that says:

"I was wondering if this was your first Triathlon coming up on Mother’s Day.  I am planning something for the newbie’s."

Why, yes.   Yes it is...

If I wasn't scared before, I definitely am now.

Hmm.. I didn't get that email.  Maybe it's because I did it last year.

No need to be scare.  It's a very newbie-friendly race.  No mass start of the swim (line up by and jump in pool one-by-one, every 20 seconds), so you don't feel the pressure of someone faster than/catching up with you.  You're racing against yourself.  No fighting through a crowded transition area - everyone started at a different time.

The down side of this race is that it took so long to wait for your start.

I think DK is right -- no need to worry.  Several friends at my gym ran it as their first tri last spring and are going back to do it again this year.  They had a blast, so I'm joining them.  Maybe see you there!

Cheers, -Sunny

I went and rode the bike course today. It went better than expected! That's a nice loop. But that hill to get back into the parking lot at the JCC is going to royally suck at the end of the run. Laughing

It's tomorrow!  Hope to meet up with you guys.  I'll be wearing my BT shorts

I have a few BT temporary tatoos (curtesy of Ontherun) if anyone would want to put on.

Good luck!
