Event warmup:

Pumped tires, stood around discussing with other racers how butt ass cold it was going to be getting out of the pool and onto the bike when it was still like 40 out. Brrrrrrrrrrrr!

Comments:

Since today was my actual 30th birthday, one of my friends gave me a tiara with 30 on it. Put it on during T2 and ran with it on. It was awesome! People on the course loved it. My husband did the duathlon so he had told volunteers along the run course it was my birthday and several of them sang Happy Birthday as I ran past.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing! It was a great run!
Post race
Warm down:

Took some pictures, went back and forth to get cars and bikes from T1. Ate 2 small cookies and wished I had a hot latte. Brrrrrrrrrr! Still cold.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The 5-6 hour bike ride planned for tomorrow :)

Event comments:

Love this race! It's a great season opener :)
