Subject: I have a massive bilster now what?
After running the 1/2 marathon this weekend I have a blister the size of a quater on my right foot. I have my first Dualthlon of the year this Sunday I'm having problems just walking today, any advice on how to heal or deal with this problem?

Pop it with a needle, drain it, let it dry, slap a bandage and some tape on it.

Only a quarter?  Is there blood yet?  When there's blood, then it's decent.

And put bodyglide on your feet for the du this weekend so you don't make more blisters. And get good socks!

I think my body has stopped feeling blisters. I'll be sitting at on the couch with my feet up and someone will come and say, ouch those must hurt. I'll ask what must hurt? Those blisters on your feet.

And I'll have no idea I had them. hehe

I get blisters regardless of socks and Body Glide, sometimes.

Mostly, they just gotta heal on their own, not much else you can do.  Within about 5-7 days, though, you'll be as good as new, generally speaking.

Cool, nobody's said it yet:

Suck it up, buttercup!

Seriously, prior to my first tri a couple of weeks ago, I tried running w/out socks so I could do same during the bike/run portions of the race.  My feet didn't want to cooperate and I managed to get blisters on both soles.  Fast forward to race day and the issue was still there, albeit not as pronounced.  I mentioned to the guys doing the tri with me that I wanted to use socks due to the blister issue...they laughed and said the blisters would heal and I should "suck it up."  So I did and with a little talc in my shoes for good measure, things went great.  I developed a very small blister on my right foot sole, but that was it and it wasn't painful at all.

Good luck!

yeah quater is not that big. I have on that is abouy diameter of 2 quaters on my foot. Its about 1/2 my foot. Eletryles are always read for good at preventing them. Also make sure your feet are dry.

I got mine because no eletryles and having to run through 100 ft of 6 inch deep water twice. Good news is I only got 1 .

There's a bandage called 'compeed' that is excellent for covering blisters. Band-Aid also makes a version of a blister bandage. The compeed one, is waterproof, durable, and comfortable, you won't know it's there. I also bought some silicone 'toe' covers off ebay, that are great for covering blisters on you toes.
