Swim
  • 15m 30s
  • 820 yards
  • 01m 53s / 100 yards
Comments:

Thinking about performing got the best of me after I finished thinking about T1.
What would you do differently?:

Don't over think stroke and technique, and just do what's natural and fast.
Transition 1
  • 01m 15s
Comments:

Felt awkward and clumsy.
What would you do differently?:

Need to practice pedals-on-cleats method, as well as fast mounting bike
Bike
  • 42m 40s
  • 15.93 miles
  • 22.40 mile/hr
Comments:

Hammered hard on the bike and felt great. Could possibly have pushed harder, but not too much.
What would you do differently?:

refine aero position
Transition 2
  • 00m 53s
Comments:

Almost endo'd the bike at dismount line. Running socks took some time
What would you do differently?:

Need to practice rapid dismount. Sockless running practice for sprints would help.
Run
  • 21m 37s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 06m 57s  min/mile
Comments:

Took a bit over a mile to get my legs, but was in comfortable stride by turn-around. Felt like I could hold the pace all day if needed. Was 5 seconds behind 5th place, and lost to him by 4 seconds. Grrrrr!!!
What would you do differently?:

Run harder at the finish.
Post race
Warm down:

walked around and BS'd

What limited your ability to perform faster:

training

Event comments:

Extremely organized and non-conflicting. No crossed paths between stages and a great course.

Whoa, David! Smokin' fast race there, big boy! I'm excited for you on this race! Looking at this report, I'd have to say you should be very pleased...regardless of how you felt in the water. You're right on, though, don't THINK about stroke mechanics during a race, just get into a rhythm and hold it. The bike looks great and the run really, really great! You're on the way to a podium finish soon! I'll make a deal with you, you help me with the bike and I'll help you with the swim...deal?

Look forward to seeing you soon!

Eric
