Comments: I settled into my target pace as quick as possible. It was really hard not to try to keep pace with the faster runners. I felt really strong and had to force myself to slow down. I'm glad I did. I passed a lot of runners in the 2nd half of the race. I managed to roll with the downhills and push just a bit on the uphills. It seemed to work well. I beat my target time by 11 seconds. Results are posted at: http://www.watfordalvinstonroadrace.com/ They do not list AG or overall position. Results are posted alphabetically. What would you do differently?: Nothing. It went exactly as planned.  Post race
Warm down: Walk for 10 minutes. Stretch. Drink 1 cup gatorade. Ate lunch at the awards ceremony. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing. I hit my target pace exactly. More training would be required in order to lower my time. Maybe next year. Last updated: 2007-03-23 12:00 AM

I had to work early this morning. I just did a quick 2 hours and hurried to the race.
Stretching, and some easy jogging with quick sprints for 10 minutes.
Took a GU 30 minutes before the start.
