Pre-race routine:

Sat around for a few hours watching the other races. Ate some bananas and plumbs. Drank water and Powerbar Endurance.

Event warmup:

Jogged for about 5 minutes. Streched.

What would you do differently?:

Wear a wet suit, perform better on the breathing and turning the bouys.

I put on my shoes during the transistion, so that took time. Had to tie my laces too, and made mistakes with that too.
What would you do differently?:

Put my shoes on during the ride, have quick laces.

I felt extremely slow on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Get a road bike !!! I did the race with a mountain bike. Also, I didn't pay attention and only did one lap, the race consisted of 2 - 6 mile laps. So I DNQ.

Transistion felt a lot quicker than T-1, but around the same time. A lot of people in the way, and rack area was crowded.
What would you do differently?:

Rack faster. Take helmet off while putting on run shoes. Take bike shoes off before entering T-2.

Was EXTREMELY tired by this time. Shin-splints were killing me, especially in my left leg.

RUN FASTER ! Keep up the pace that I had planned, and NOT walk.

Good race, PERFECT for my current non-conditioned body. Wish I would have trained more for it, it was an easy course.

Good Job! Even though you didn't do the bike course all the way, hey you were there... Next time, I'm sure you'll know what you need to do.
