Comments:

My goal was to run at a 8 min pace. My first mile was 7:22 and I got worried that I had started too hard but at the same time I felt good. I figured I'd try to keep the current pace and maybe drop off a little later. Well, things were going good and I felt really strong. I basically just kept plugging away and ended up with my fastest half ever. Not that I have done many but my splits were faster than I have ever done in training on any run over 8 miles. I am very happy with my result. Uneventful race but fun. I crossed the finish line not feeling exhausted. I still had a little left :-)

Here are my splits:
Mile 1 7:22
Mile 2 7:31
Mile 3 7:14
Mile 4 7:30
Mile 5 7:45
Mile 6 7:33
Mile 7 7:22
Mile 8 7:21
Mile 9 6:55
Mile 10 7:05
Mile 11 7:17
Mile 12 6:58
Mile 13 6:41
What would you do differently?:

I was dressed a bit too warm. Should have run in a short sleeve rather than long sleeve shirt.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretching and then ate a bagel and drank some Gatorade.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Speed work and hill training.

Unbelievable run, going for 8min miles and you ran 7:16/mile.  It looks like you paced just right because your fastest miles were the last 4.  Unbeelievable and keep up the good work

Jon, looks like you kicked asphalt on this race.  You're speedy!  Also looks like you became faster as the race went on.  You totally blew away your 8min/mile goal.  Plus Awesome job!
