Subject: 08 IM Wisconsin Registration Question
Hello, I am looking for a little guidance on registration for the 08 IM Wisconsin.

I have taken the day off and I am driving to Madison for the registration. My first question is where do I go in Madison? I went to school at UW and I am familiar with the city but unsure of the exact location.

Second question; can I register a friend at the same time that I register myself?

Lastly, I read somewhere and I am not certain where but do you pay at the time of registration or is there really “a golden ticket” that I take home and pay through Active?

I'm assuming it will be the same as last year - Mona Terrace Hilton.  Right near the capital near the lakeshore.

I would recommend going down on Sunday to watch the race!

When you "register" in person you are only giving them your name and contact info.  You will be given specific information to use to register on Active.com during a specific calendar window a couple of weeks after the race.  So, you don't pay money that day.

I have heard other say you can register for someone else but I don't know if that will be possible this year or not.  Best to contact the race director.  Good luck and maybe we'll see you there.

By being in Madison to register are you assured to get a spot?  I would think the chances are better than if you try it online.

I agree with Birkie, but if you can make to down to watch the race consider voluntering. It's a great time and you are more exposed to the action. The volunteering is open now on the IMWI website.

By being in Madison to register are you assured to get a spot? 

If you are in line on Monday morning you are GUARANTEED a spot for 2008 - assuming you follow through and pay the fees.
