Run
Comments: Takes me a while to warm up but it was pretty normal What would you do differently?: Do a little warm up first so I wasn't running cold Transition 1
Comments: pretty normal T1 What would you do differently?: nothing much Bike
Comments: Just pedalled. I realized I had forgot to reset my computer and I don't think I looked down at it more than once. Felt slow...very slow and my time really showed it. What would you do differently?: Actually race the race rather than go through the motions. Transition 2
Comments: Dismount was pretty good. flipped the leg over and rode in on one pedal while braking and unclipped and ran in. Actually heard someone say, "Nice Dismount Man" so that was good. Run
Comments: Decent run. Just kept moving toward the finish line. Started my final kick way to early (about a third of a mile left). Absolutely died about 50 yards from the finish. What would you do differently?: Start kick later. Post race
Warm down: Hung out with the gang and watched Terri finish. It was awesome. What limited your ability to perform faster: I really pysched myself out of this one. Once I found out that it turned into a Du I was bummed. At that point I mentally turned off. Stupid mental errors killed the race. But it was awesome to be a part of team Terri. Normal stuff. Woke up got a cup of coffee and a granola bar at the gas station and took off.
Nothing much. Found out that they canceled the swim and it really ticked me off. The water wasn't bad at all. It was a little sloppy but wasn't that rough. Plus the wind was going in the direction of the swim so it would have been a fast swim.
Met up with Team Terri and chatted till the race was going to start.
