Run
Comments: Felt great, I needed to stretch a little bit more, but it was okay without. Felt the knees a bit around mile 10, but not too bad. Had someone to pace with the whole time! I felt awesome, it was a beautiful morning, and the last couple of miles were wonderful. Bring on the Marathon! (in 2005...haha) What would you do differently?: The only problem with the run for me was feeling like I ran out of blood sugar around 11.5, and I didn't want to push it when I was feeling a little queasy. I should have just stopped at the water station and taken the rest of my gel pack. More Body Glide also needed. Post race
Warm down: lots of walking, water, and some stretching. Thanks to Dad for having dry clothing right at the finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: water intake and carb/sugar levels Event comments: Awesome! So much fun, everyone who likes to run in a beautiful area with helpful people and fun entertainment along the way should run this! Last updated: 2004-07-05 12:00 AM
