There was a huge headwind going out. I tried to go hard, but also wanted to leave a little on the way back. I did a negative split of about 4 minutes difference though.
What would you do differently?:

I needed to warmup and get adjusted to the ride. This sucked.

The swim was harder than it should have been. I was very surprised at my time too - I was expecting to kill it and when I got out I about fell over when I looked at my watch.

Someone told me the rope out was not straight but I did not see it. Maybe it was the fact we were all freezing our rears off for 5 minutes in the water. By the way, you must have been 5 steps behind me coming out of the lake.

I bet you dropped a clear blue water bottle, someone did and I called out as loud as I could but no one claimed it. The headwind out was somewhat strong, especially 1/2 way out, coming back was fast though. Regardless, good job.

For fun, compare the times in the 30-34 AG with ours. We totally took the young guys to town, your time would have placed you around 5th in that AG! Needless to say, we have many studs in our AG. Again, good job.

Ah, yeah... You smoked that run!  Sounds like a tough bike with the wind.  Definitely warming up on the swim would've helped.   But, man you really smoked that run.  Nice race.
