Progress......I track my top 10 times for about 8 different run distances, 6 different bike distances, and a couple of swim distances.  I hate to see now new record times on any of my distances.

I make myself keep my workouts by always dressing for my workout and getting to the start line of wherever I am going to work out.  If I drag myself to the start and still don't feel like working out, then I let myself off the hook.  My body is probably telling me something anyway.

Becuase training for tris makes you more badass than 99% of the population.

And I like being badass!

Oh, and this.....

"I, Gina declare that I am a determined and passionate triathlete in a world of awesome opportunity. I stand for striving to be the best athlete I can and to never let anyone tell me that I cannot or will not succeed or achieve my goal for I do not now or ever will know the meaning of the word failure. I will let my unparalleled spirit, limitless passion, and unending integrity shine through to all of those that cross my path. I vow to push myself to new limits, to maintain my training program with a fierce focus unlike I have ever done before; I will let nothing stand in my way for the sky is the limit. I can be counted on for my undying dedication to myself and to improving my overall performance while maintaining my health. Furthermore, I can be counted on for standing shoulder to shoulder with all my fellow triathletes and defending them from harms way while being uplifting and supporting each of them through their own trials and tribulations."

When I really don't feel like getting at it I read this and for some reason I start to get going! The part that stands out in my mind when I start to hit a wall is the part about "fierce focus".

FEAR

Plain and simple.  Fear that I will not finish that next race that I've already paid for.
