Comments:

Had a little trouble at one wall. A woman grabbed my leg and pulled me back so I kicked her free.

I was :20 faster last year but a good swim for me.

I had practiced the day before and it went very smooth.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing

Comments:

Only got passed by 3 people on aero bikes. Speed is coming along with this being the fastest speed I've recorded in a race.
What would you do differently?:

This is the 3rd time for this race and I improved another :27 from last year and 1:50 from the year before.
Transition 2

Comments:

I couldn't believe I was this fast. Only about 10 people faster.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run

  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 27s  min/mile
Comments:

My left hamstring has been tight for 2 months and today was no exception. I couldn't get into a nice rhytmn and was landing on my heels a lot. On the bright side, I was a full minute faster than last year.
What would you do differently?:

stretch more
Post race
Warm down:

drank lots of water..It was getting very hot towards the end

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I needed a little more structured training coming into this race. It kind of snuck up on me.

Event comments:

I improved 6 spots OA and 2 spots in AG from last year with a larger field. Team Magic is the best...lots of post race food and drink..very well run
