Comments: Is that distance right. I feel like it may have been longer than 880. If not then my time was unusually slow and I felt pretty good. Once I got into a rythm, my breathing was ok. It was tough to stay online as the waves kept pushing me to shore. What would you do differently?: Sight better. I kept veering off course due to the waves and current. Transition 1
Comments: Not bad. Better than most of my T1's Bike
Comments: The begining part of the loop was extremely bumpy. the road surface was terrible. The middle and end were good. The bike felt great. I'm happy with the pace I kept up. Transition 2
Comments: Not bad. Tying my shoelaces took forever. What would you do differently?: Get Yankz. Run
Comments: I felt like I was keeping a better pace than this. But it's what usually happens on the run. I still had plenty of gas in the tank when I finished which means I didn't push nearly hard enough. What would you do differently?: Run faster. Post race
Warm down: Just walked to transition, gathered my stuff and headed out. Should have stretched but I was in a hurry. Event comments: The road on the bike was pretty rough. Other than that the race was pretty good. I'm still wondering about that swim distance. Last updated: 2007-07-16 12:00 AM

Arrived nice and early and checked in. Had some toast with peanut butter and coffee. It was overcast and started to rain. Ugh. It cleared up by race time but it was still a bit chilly. Set up transition and went to the pre-race talk.
Put on the wetsuit and jumped into Lake Michigan. I wanted to give myself plenty of time to get used to the cold cold water. It wasn't as bad as Benton Harbor 2 weeks ago but it was still cooollllld. brrrr.
