Comments:

I needed more water. I based the amount on a 40K training ride I'd completed a week before, but that ride occurred at 73 degree F. i ran out of water 9 miles from the finish.
What would you do differently?:

Take more water; take some Endurolytes during the race.
Post race
Warm down:

Collapsed by side of the road until I was able to breath. Hobbled over to get some water, then retreated to shade and drank and doused before pealing (...) the 2 miles back to the parking area. Drank Ensure and more water; took Endurolytes. Changed clothes.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The heat.

Event comments:

It is what it is: a Time Trial and not a triathlon. By the time they got to my age group most folks had gone.

Hi,

Was reading your race report - WOW!!

That heat can be grueling.  Congrats for finishing.

someone 'challenged' me to do one, but he is a die-hard cyclist.  Uhm I'll wait a while - lol.

Kahne!  Look at you miss speed demon, 20 mph avg.!!  Awesome job.  Sorry you ran out of water.  Looks like we're finally getting to a Texas summer.
