Total Time = 2h 11m 8s
Overall Rank = 1324/1887

Age Group Rank = 27/58
Pre-race routine:

Had my cereal with banana at around 5:30 am with one cup of coffee. Drank a glass of gatorade.
Event warmup:

Basically just sat in my car until 7:30am, used the bathroom which took about 20 minutes because of the lines. Joined the back of the pack at 7:55.
Run
  • 2h 11m 8s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 10m 01s  min/mile
Comments:

I decided not to push because my training had not been up to par. Ran the course, but stopped at every water station and walked until I finished drinking. Took my GU every 45 minutes.
What would you do differently?:

Well I definately will train better. I've done this course before and under the 2 hours, but I enjoyed this race because I put no pressure on myself.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked, stretched, talked to Max while we ate our post race snack. Drank my Endurox and went home.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor training

Event comments:

I might do this race again next year as a warm-up for the NYC Marathon.

It was a fun race.  I actually felt pretty relaxed all the way through 10 miles, saying Hi to the volunteers etc.  Glad I met up with you at the 2 mile mark, I don't think I'd have ever found you otherwise!  I'm still a little sore today, shows I haven't been training that much either.  Must do better!

nice run Evelyn.  You are a speed demon, even when you're running 'slow'!
