Comments: Had a great first half and then at about the 14-15k mark the Achilles started to become uncomfortable. So walked a little more and then at about 18k had to stretch it out a bit. Basically ran between water stations (every 3k) and then walked the water stations. Felt really good with a nice even pace. What would you do differently?: Clear the Achilles issue. If it hadn't been for that, could have been close to a PB time. Post race
Warm down: Light stretching, walking around and eating some food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Achilles discomfort Event comments: Good race with lots of support from volunteers, the police and the citizens of Oakville. Will do this again. Last updated: 2007-08-28 12:00 AM

Bagel with peanut butter when I got up at about 5:30am. Met running mates at 6:00am for car pool to the location.
Light stretching, little job in the park to loosen the legs.
