Comments: Well coming off a 270mi MONTH this is about all I can expect out of my self on a 40k. I felt good, I felt like I raced well. I paced well, I didn't die 10k out nor did I finish with too much left, maybe just a little. After all it was my first 40k timetrial that didn't have a swim or run attached to it. ;p Also of note I was the 2nd starter, passed my friend infront of me just a couple miles in then rode the rest of the race by my self till 1 mile out when a real fast guy caught me. Which sucked :\ What would you do differently?: huh.. ride more then 270 miles the month before.. that's really the only thing! Post race
Warm down: Ride around a bit watching people come in, then head to the parking lot to eat and drink some. What limited your ability to perform faster: Out of shape? :) Event comments: It's not a big gig, show up ride your bike has hard as you can for 40k, then head out basically. Though staying for the awards and eating some of the food isn't a bad idea. :) Last updated: 2007-10-01 12:00 AM
