Any plans yet for a BT dinner Saturday night?

Chad (tri_hack) and I will be arriving in Dallas Friday evening. We're planning (hey Chad listen up...) to do an easy S/B/R Saturday morning. Not sure on details yet, but if it's possible we'll go to Joe Pool lake Saturday morning for a short OWS, bike about 20 minutes, and a 10 minute run with a few short pickups. I'd like to be done by 1100 am at the latest.

I'm not racing... but I would possibly meet people up for dinner.... before I go out partying for the night. HA!

There is a free OWS clinic from 1:30 to 3:00 then the swim course is open for swimming from 3 - 5.  The OWS clinic is being coached by my Master's Swim coach.  I'm not going to attend the clinic, but may be at the 3-5 swim when I check my bike into T1.

I'm working at a USA Triathlon expo booth Saturday morning until early afternoon.  If you pickup your packet on Saturday, stop by and say hello.

I up for eating out somewhere.  Let's make it early 'cause we'll be up early to deal with the logistics of this point to point course.

Bill, where are you staying?

Do you have to race to participate inthe swim?  I am volunteering but would like to swim if possible.

I'm not sure.  I bet if you show up with a wetsuit and swim no one is going to stop you.

I just got an email from my swim coach.  The plan for the Saturday OW swim practice (3-5pm) is to let the atheltes swim the exact course that you'll see on Sunday.  They will have boats and kyacks out there and lots of extra people to insure safe swimming conditions.

That is kind of what I figured.  Besides it is a public lake so who could really stop me I guess.

Good luck to everyone on Sunday.  I will be working near the finish area I think handing out drinks.

Someone keep me updated on dinner plans if they ever come together.  I just might tear myself away from the Kona broadcast for that.

And I'll be working T2 on Sunday so I'll keep an eye out for ya' as you come off the bike.

Aaron: Where can I watch the Kona broadcast? Is it going to be streamed live?

Also, I will be working T2 as well!!! We havn't officially met, but I know who you are. I will make sure to find you on Sunday morning. It's going to be good watching, and CHEERING!!!

Go here for the Kona web cast.

So, do you own a Specialized Roubaix?  Sweet bike.
