Are there any plans to carpool? Either to limit the number who have to shuttle, or
at least the number that have to drive.

Sign me up for carpooling. We can leave 1-2 cars at the finish and the rest at the start. Getting out of the parking at the finish can be seriously DEMENTED. My first year (06) my Dad sat in the parking garage for an hour to try and come pick us up and finally we all walked over to Chilis and had lunch and then it was A BIT easier getting out.

If you do want to carpool/rideshare, pm me and I can coordinate. Only requirement I have is phones. Everyone should have one (checked in your sweats bag or carried) and we all should have everyones number. The finish area is crazy. It took me 5 minutes to find my wife and DS's and I was on the phone with them.

I got in corral 4 this year. I'm hoping for under 1:50 (2:03 last year). I used the garbage bag trick in Vegas last month and it worked really, really well, so that is what I will probably be doing. Should be much much warmer than last year. I think I was in 8 or 9 last year and like 18-20 the year before. I think I will like if better starting from 4. The streets are pretty wide, but there are a lot of HM'ers, so it is still a bit crowded for awhile. (but not as bad as San Francisco was)

When are folks picking up their race packets/numbers/etc? I will probably go Friday early afternoon as I am closer to downtown for work anyway and Sat would require a separate trip (~40 miles from home).

I'm coming from the westside. I will park at the start and have my husband pick me up at the finish. I can easily give anyone a ride to the start if they live west of downtown, but I'm only doing the half

I'm going to the expo on friday, going to renew my substitute teaching license when I'm down there too

Sounds good to me. I'll PM my contact information.

Why don't we just meet in the finish "family area" under some letter unlikely to be highly used, like Q.

I think I'm in corral 14. I anticipate 2:15 - 2:30 as long as my ITB doesn't flair up. I probably won't have a "sweats" bag as normally I just buy a sweatshirt from goodwill and pitch it when I warm up.

Let me know.
